Our passage today speaks of the rampant sin of God’s people. It’s so bad that God plans to destroy them all and start over with Moses. But Moses decides to intercede on behalf of his people. He goes to God and asks Him to change His mind. He prays, “Don’t destroy these people! Forgive their sins! Lead them to a good future!” And because of one man’s intercession, because of one man’s prayers, the fate of many is changed.
