Are you waiting for God to do something? Is there anything you have been praying for God to do for months, years, even decades? My guess is there is. Are you waiting patiently for that to happen?

Habakkuk writes that he will wait patiently for Israel’s pagan invaders to be judged. And this changes everything in his life. He receives this news that makes his heart pound, lips quiver, and legs tremble. But then he makes a decision. He says, “I will wait patiently on God.” And because of this, instead of being fearful, Habakkuk has joy. Instead of being downcast or disheartened, Habakkuk finds strength! What’s his secret? A patient heart.
