All for the Glory of God

The solution to all human problems is contained in this one thing. If you and I would only choose to stop living, working, and breathing for the kingdom of ourselves, and instead live, work, and breathe for the glory of God, the joy and strength of God would be constant in our lives.  Can you imagine going to your work, your neighborhood, your home, living your life in such a way that people look at you and think, “God is wonderful”?  Today, God is inviting us to embrace our true purpose and live all for the glory of God. And I can think of no better life than that.

Follow the God Who is There

By modest estimate, more than a quarter of the United States population has professed an evangelical conversion experience. Many surveys find it to be much higher than that. Well, don’t you think that a pound of meat would be affected by a quarter pound of salt? If you were to eat a pound of meat with a quarter pound of salt, that salt would pretty much be all you tasted! Well, why isn’t the quarter pound of salt, the evangelical Christian church, having that sort of effect? Because we haven’t been willing to leave behind, as Jesus said, “All we have,” and “Our own life also” to follow Jesus.

Faith Conquers All

I know many of us are facing challenges in life. I know there are people here facing cancer, tumors, unknown illnesses, financial problems, uncertainty at work, struggles at work and at home. But I want you to know that if faith can overcome all the impossible problems Moses was facing, it can overcome ours as well.  Actual faith in God is in its very nature a power, an energy, a significant, conquering force over every evil in this world. And the same, overcoming faith that Moses had is available to each one of us. But we have to want it and we have to seek it. And if we do, we will find that there is no mountain too high, no challenge too great for the person who trusts in the strong hand of the Lord.

Risen with Christ

Worldwide today, depression is the leading cause of illness. Depression comes from hopelessness. And hopelessness is what you get when the risen Jesus is removed from the picture. And unfortunately, this is happening too often today even in the church! So rarely do we think about the resurrected Christ. Far too often He is cut out of our minds to make room for other things. Jesus invites us to bring Him back into the picture of our lives. He invites us to make room for Him again! He is calling each of us by name, saying, “I want you to know the power of my resurrection today. I want you to experience the hope and the joy that comes when I remain in the picture of your mind. Put me back into the picture, and see what I can do!”
