Hello everyone,

From an uncomfortable prison cell many years ago, Paul wrote: “I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:11-13).

The Greek word “content” is related to sufficiency. Paul had learned the deep truths of the sufficiency of God. He was grounded in the sufficiency of God. And no change in his circumstances could keep him from experiencing the abundance of God.

Would you be able to say right now, “I lack nothing”? The more we are able to declare that by faith, the more we too will know the complete sufficiency of God. And we can do this today through Christ who gives us strength!
